Hi, I’m Sarah, and I’ve been fortunate enough to turn a lifelong passion for travel into a rewarding career. Since leaving school 20 years ago, I’ve been immersed in the travel industry—fuelled by a childhood fascination with faraway places and the rich variety of cultures across the globe. That same curiosity and enthusiasm still inspire me today.

My journey began with an exciting opportunity to work in a travel agency in Bude, and it’s been a fantastic experience ever since. Over the years, I’ve travelled extensively, explored breathtaking destinations, and made unforgettable memories. From climbing Sydney Harbour Bridge and skydiving over Lake Taupo in New Zealand to braving the world’s fastest roller coaster in Abu Dhabi, every adventure has deepened my love for what I do.

I’ve enjoyed exhilarating safaris, unwound on the pristine beaches of the Caribbean, and explored countless destinations across the UK and Europe. Each trip has given me a deeper appreciation for the unique character and beauty each place offers.

For me, working in travel is about much more than booking holidays. It’s about giving genuine, informed advice, matching the right experiences to the right people, and using my own adventures to make personalised recommendations. After 20 fulfilling years in the industry, I took the next step by launching my own business under the Avocet Travel Management brand. It allows me to offer a more personal, dedicated service, focused entirely on helping you plan your ideal holiday.
